SPEND & SAVE RETURNS POLICY

If you return items from a Spend & Save order, your 20% discount may be affected. Should your remaining order fall below the minimum spend, the discount will be removed and your refund adjusted accordingly. We'll confirm your exact refund amount during the returns process. See full ts&cs here.

INTERNATIONAL RETURNS POLICY

We accept returns for online orders within 14 days of delivery.

Items must be in their original condition, unworn and with tags attached. Where provided, belts and dust bags must also be included as part of the return. 

Returns from outside of the UK need to be shipped at your own cost after registering in our returns portal. Package the order securely and lightly using a tracked service with your local post office, original packaging is not required.

Please note that delivery fees cover the cost of shipping your order and are not refundable.

CUSTOMS INVOICE

For international returns, you will need to include the name of the product(s) on the customs invoice. Please mark clearly "BRITISH RETURN GOODS – [name of product(s)]" as a description of contents on all customs invoice paperwork provided by your chosen carrier.   

If this indication is not clearly stated, custom duty charges may be applied. Use your original ORDER NUMBER as a reference on your return shipping label and customs invoice.

HOW TO RETURN

To make a return, please visit our returns portal here.

1. Enter your order number and email address. Select the item(s) you would like to return and the reason for your return. 

2. Select ‘choose your own courier’. 

3. Once registered on the portal, we will email confirmation and further instructions. 

4.Package items securely with swing tags attached and any dust or garment bags included. Note: returning without the original box will significantly lower costs.

5. Write your order number in large size on the outside of the box, next to where you will place your label. Alternatively write on a piece of paper and place inside the parcel.

6. Select a courier and prepare customs invoice. Please mark clearly "BRITISH RETURN GOODS – [name of product(s)]" as a description of contents. 

7. Please obtain proof of posting and tracking number.


REFUNDS

Please allow 14 working days from the date of receipt for returns to be inspected and processed.

Refunds will be issued on the cost at purchase price, excluding original shipping charges, back to the original method of payment. You will receive an email notification once your refund has been processed.


JEWELLERY RETURNS

Please make sure to return jewellery (earrings excluded) in all original packaging, including the dust bag and box. 

Due to hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns on earrings unless faulty. 

We reserve the right to refuse returns if these conditions are not met. 


SWIMWEAR RETURNS

In the interests of both health and hygiene, please ensure all swimwear is tried on over your own underwear. Swimwear returns will not be accepted if hygiene stickers have been removed. 

We reserve the right to refuse returns if these conditions are not met. 


HANDBAG RETURNS

Please make sure to return handbags with tags still attached and all original packaging, including the dust bag and box.


ORDER CANCELLATION

We are happy to cancel any orders before they are processed by our warehouse, however we cannot guarantee any changes or cancellations due to the volume of orders being received.


EXCHANGES

We are unable to offer exchanges. For a more efficient service, simply place a new order and return the original. 

Shipping charges are non-refundable.


RETURN TO STORE

Purchases made online can be returned in-store at our UK Albemarle Street and Duke of York Square boutiques.


INCORRECT RETURNS

We can only process returns for products purchased directly from self-portrait. If you accidentally send us items not sold by our brand or bought via another retailer (such as Net-a-Porter), we are not liable for their return, storage, or any associated costs. We do not accept responsibility for non-brand items sent to us in error and cannot guarantee their return.
