Purchasing an e-gift card
Self-portrait e-gift cards are available to purchase online only. They may also be issued to customers as part of a refund for a previous purchase. Gift cards will be issued as an e-gift card that is provided by email and is subject to these terms and conditions.
The minimum amount you can purchase on a self-portrait gift card is £50, and the maximum is £1,000. All gift cards will be denominated in GBP. Please note that it is not possible to add extra value to your self-portrait e-gift card after the final purchase.
When purchasing a self-portrait e-gift card on the website, you can choose to send it to yourself or another receiver other than yourself and have the option of adding a personal message. The unique self-portrait e-gift card number will be sent in the email to the receiver, and will not be visible in the order confirmation that you receive (as the purchaser of the e-gift card).
You can also choose for the self-portrait e-gift card to be received on another future date rather than the date of purchase. Your self-portrait e-gift card will be activated on the selected date of receipt
Please note that you cannot purchase a self-portrait e-gift card with a discount code and are excluded from all promotions
By purchasing an e-gift card, you acknowledge that delivery occurs digitally either immediately or on the scheduled delivery date selected at checkout and agree that the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not apply once purchase is final.
Redeeming an e-gift card
Self-portrait e-gift cards can be redeemed at any London store or online at self-portrait.com.
E-gift cards cannot be redeemed outside the UK or on any third-party websites.
When an e-gift card is redeemed, the full available balance will be applied to the order. Customers are not able to specify a partial redemption amount. If the order total is less than the e-gift card balance, the remaining balance will remain on the e-gift card for future use.
E-gift cards will be valid for 12 months from the point of delivery. Any remaining balance not used by the expiry date will no longer be available for redemption.
Please note that gift cards are not eligible for use on pre-order items.
Loss or misuse of your e-gift cards
Self-portrait cannot accept responsibility for your gift card if it is lost, stolen, damaged, or used without your permission. Gift cards
must be treated like cash and Self-portrait will not accept responsibility in such instances.
If your gift card is lost or stolen, please contact Customer Services. Please inform Customer Services of the last 4 digits e-gift card number located on the original email sent. Your card will be suspended and the balance at the time of contacting Customer Services may be replaced at the discretion of the Customer Services Management.
Self-portrait will cancel the value of the gift card if we fail to receive full payment from the purchaser’s credit/debit card provider. Further action may be taken where fraudulent payment is suspected.
We reserve the right to refuse to accept a gift card which we reasonably believe has been tampered with, duplicated, or which otherwise is suspected to be affected by fraud. The re-sale of self-portrait gift cards is
strictly prohibited.
Refunds
Purchases of self-portrait e-gift cards are final. E-gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.
Any refunds of items purchased using a self-portrait gift card will be refunded onto a gift card in accordance with our standard self-portrait Refund Policy. This does not affect your statutory rights. When refunding an item(s) from a purchase where the payment was made using multiple tenders, the amount paid by self-portrait gift card will be honoured as a preference, and any remaining refund balance will be paid in cash and/or credit/debit card.
